    Audit Senior- Gauteng

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Compliance with the National Audit SOP
    • Planning of engagements on the National Resource and Budgeting Tool
    • Preparation of audit budgets for final approval by the engagement partner, which entails work allocation across your various team members
    • Weekly Analysis of Work in Progress
    • Application of IT Audit tools on engagements
    • Provide junior staff with clear direction, goals and objectives.
    • Leading of planning , client and close-out meetings
    • Set appropriate standards and create a positive work climate ensuring you always demonstrate the Mazars values.
    • Provide coaching andtraining to improve performance.
    • Perform audit fieldwork based on your level of experience for more complex sections.
    • Produce reports that are clear, concise and error free.
    • Application of technical expertise and analyse data effectively.
    • Finalise and propose audit opinion.
    • Complete timesheets and review that of your trainees
    • Maintain effective client relations.
    • Project Management - Monitors progress and performance against deadlines and milestones
    • Review of engagement files in accordance with the relevant standards
    • Drafting of audit opinions for review and approval by engagement partner.
    • Completion of technical consultations

    Minimum Requirements

    • Successful completion of audit traineeship (articles)
    • Proficient in application of IFRS, IFRS for SME’s and ISA as well as Mazars Audit Methodology
    • Proficiency in Caseware and Microsoft products
    • Ability to comply with national audit SOP ensuring planning, fieldwork and finalisation are done at the correct stages of the financial year.
    • Excellent writing, reporting, planning and organising skills.
    • Perform mentoring and supervisory role to staff on specific audits.
    • Able to maintain a good working relationship with team members and clients.
    • Always demonstrate integrity.
    • Ability to provide and receive feedback for development of yourself and team members.
    • Proactive – being able to plan projects and activities well in advance.
