Automation(Technical)Specialist - Operational Intelligence at Derivco

We are looking for a Technical Specialist - Operational Intelligence to join our team of passionate thought leaders in a dynamic and collaborative technology environment! 

As part of our Operations team your role will encompass work on cutting edge technologies and working on cloud based platforms for solution design, implementation, and support to ensure our product delivery is optimized to any user, on any device in any geographic location. 

• You will manage new Technology POC, POV and technical assessments while developing cloud-based content solutions in the pursuit of continuous platform improvement.
• You will be the driver of automation/orchestration and tooling solutions which includes scripting and automation of production deployments. 
• In this role you will support project engagements, work collaboratively with other team members, communicate effectively, and foster team success

Key Responsibilities:

• Engaging with technical teams across the business to orchestrate and automate important business workflows and processes
• Python is key here as these automation playbooks will be coded using python
• Understanding of the ELK stack and open source tooling
• Ability to integrate with web API’s (rest)
• Ensuring our global content delivery system is running optimally and ensuring we have adequate alerting and insight into how these systems are delivering content.
• Produce high-quality technical design, build and procedure documentation
• Support project engagements, work collaboratively with other technical teams in a boundaryless manner to  communicate effectively, and foster team success
• Commitment to continuous learning and development to stay abreast of technological advancement

Technical Requirements:

• Content Delivery Networks (CloudFlare, Akamai, CloudFront, Fastly etc)
• Python
• Scripting (PowerShell/bash)
• Elastic Stack
• Any of Azure/AWS/Google cloud
• Linux experience
• Terraform and Containerization (Advantageous)

Experience:

• 5 years + technical experience 
• Experience in automation/orchestration and configuration management products such as Puppet/Chef/Ansible
• Strong experience writing tools to automate tasks and integrate systems (RESTAPI etc)
• Working knowledge of the full Elastic Stack and/or Splunk platform
• Understanding of Global Content Delivery and Cloud platforms
• Well versed in web server technologies (IIS, DNS, SSL, etc.).
