Key Responsibilities

• Plan, Develop, Test and Document advanced e-commerce solutions for our clients
• Develop customer-specific and generic Magento modules
• Develop integrations between Magento and 3rd Party Products
• Improve our own continuous deployment platform which supports a large number of our clients
• Regularly attend internal training courses to maintain the required skillset
• Develop solid solutions that are generic and reusable

SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS

Ideal candidates are recent computer science graduates or individuals with experience or familiarity with:

• Coding and maintaining web applications
• Using Linux command line
• Webserver (nginx, apache) maintenance
• Using debugger tools such as xDebug or Zend Debugger
• Working with the Mercurial version control system
• PHPUnit
• Varnish
• Database schema architecture

Disclaimer: Position and title is dependent on the amount of experience

• Excellent object-oriented development skills and solid experience interacting with MySQL database systems through an abstraction layer in addition to the ability to write raw SQL queries
• Solid experience using PHP to create and consume web services (SOAP, XML-RPC)
• Experience with Magento (experience with Magento2 is an advantage)
• Keen interest and healthy experience in relevant web technologies
• Familiarity with server-side web development technologies
• Passion to create high-quality web pages
• Ability to estimate/forecast time to complete specified project tasks
• Be a team player and a quick learner, able to hit the ground running

The following experience would be advantageous

• Deep expertise and experience in developing e-commerce solutions on the Magento platform.
