    Branch Manager- Pretoria

    Branch manager duties include:

    • Hiring staff and heading the on boarding and staff training process, building rapport with customers and the community, creating and implementing strategies to improve productivity and sales performance in efforts to achieve the financial targets of the branch.
    • Manage staff, foster a positive environment and ensure customer satisfaction and proper branch operation.
    • The Branch manager must administer the branch in a profitable and sustainable way to increase the sales income at the branch, to control and administer all branch functions, process and procedures and to ensure all strategic objectives are met monthly and annually, in short to run the branch as a successful sustainable and profitable manner and to meet the required business objectives.
    • The Branch manager is responsible for day-to-day operations of the branch and interfacing with logistics and distribution in order to ensure timeously loading of the branch trucks for deliveries.

    Requirements;

    • A Business Degree degree/ diploma is preferred but not essential.
    • 5 years’ experience in FMCG environment of which 3 must be in a similar role
    • Experience in managing a large number of staff.
    • A proven sales and marketing track record.

    Responsibilities;

    • Direct all operational aspects including distribution operations, customer service, human resources, administration and Sales
    • Assess local market conditions and identify current and prospective sales opportunities
    • Develop forecasts, financial objectives and business plans
    • Meet goals and metrics
    • Manage budget and allocate funds appropriately
    • Bring out the best of branch’s personnel by providing training, coaching, development and motivation
    • Locate areas of improvement and propose corrective actions that meet challenges and leverage growth opportunities
    • Share knowledge with other branches and headquarters on effective practices, competitive intelligence, business opportunities and needs.
    • Address customer and employee satisfaction issues promptly
    • Adhere to high ethical standards, and comply with all regulations/applicable laws
    • Network to improve the presence and reputation of the branch and company
    • Stay abreast of competing markets and provide reports on market movement and penetration
