Brand and Advertising Officer (Centurion) at AVBOB South Africa

Description

• We are looking for a Brand and Advertising Officer to support the execution of the Group's brand and advertising strategy by providing analytical, administrative, and project coordination support.
• You will assist with the department's day-to-day functions, work closely with internal and external stakeholders, and contribute to initiatives that strengthen the AVBOB brand and support organisational objectives.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING:

Implement the brand and advertising strategy

• Assisting and implementing the framework for the Brand and Advertising strategy.
• Favourably position the AVBOB brand amongst staff and external stakeholders by providing timeous and professional briefs, including the delivery of projects and artwork.
• Maintaining a supplier database for the department to deliver on projects required by the Group.
• In collaboration with the Specialist: Brand and Advertising as well as the provincial structure and branches to determine their advertising needs.
• Writing briefs for the approval of the Manager: Brand and Advertising and the Specialist: Brand and Advertising by means of outlining key campaign information in line with the Group’s Corporate Identity.

Coordinate activities to achieve brand and advertising plans

• Organising and managing marketing collateral (leaflets, application forms, advertisements for various publications and not limited to banners).
• Communicating with clients to ensure that the brief meets the advertising expectations.
• Ordering of promotional items and keeping track of stock levels.
• Coordinating teams to meet both internal and external deliverables.
• Providing regular updates on copywriting, design, advertising and project management requests, to manager and internal stakeholders.
• Scheduling departmental meetings.
• Briefing and negotiating deadlines with media buyers.
• Working with Graphic Designers to develop materials, coordinate events and provide support and direction to finalise the project.
• Meet all the material and project deadlines.
• Proofread of the artwork and present this internally with the media plans for approval.
• Providing support on finance-related administration.
• Reviewing marketing opportunities and sharing these with the Specialist: Brand and Advertising or Manager: Brand and Advertising.

Stakeholder liaison

• Assisting internal stakeholders (including departments) with the delivery of advertising needs and maintaining relationships with external stakeholders.
• Assisting all the departments with their creative requirements and timeously delivering artwork.
• Managing departmental subscriptions with associated agencies.

Monthly reporting

• Provide inputs for monthly reports.
• Order stationery stock and maintain required levels thereof.

Requirements

• A Diploma or Degree in Marketing or equivalent
• 5 years’ experience in marketing and advertising field.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
