Business Analyst - Intern at The South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC)

Purpose

• The purpose of this 12 months internship programme is to provide students with opportunity to acquire wok experience in the broadcasting field. This is an exciting opportunity for those with an IT qualification who are willing to learn and grow into being Business Analysts, assisting the Senior Business Analysts, Engineering, Enterprise Architecture (EA) and the  Project Management Office (PMO) teams while learning from these teams of professionals.

About the Team

• The Business Analysis team falls under the Enterprise Architecture area which falls under the Engineering, Planning and Execution (EPE) department, incorporating the Project Management Office (PMO) and Engineering teams.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities:

Managed Operational Performance

• Conducting research and compiling data about customer and industry trends
• Analysing data to identify patterns and inconsistencies
• Supporting the business analysis team in developing business plans and strategies
• Creating technical reports and manuals for end-users
• Evaluating new system resources and processes
• Help the PMO team deliver projects
• Developing workflow charts for system changes
• Monitoring each project's progress and optimizing processes

INHERENT/MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• IT Qualification at least at NQF level 6
• ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library v4) advantage
• International Computer Driving License (ICDL) or similar advantage

KNOWLEDGE

• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team and lead the team if required.
• Proficient in MS Office, i.e., Excel, Word, Outlook and Power Point.
• Ability to work under pressure and handle conflict
