Job Description    

• We are seeking a talented and experienced Business Analyst with a strong background in finance management to join our IT department. This role will support and enhance our Finance tech systems by bridging the gap between financial operations (payments & VAS, including payment tender integration) and technology solutions. The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of finance processes and systems, alongside the ability to collaborate closely with IT teams to deliver effective, innovative solutions. Qualifications    

• Relevant Tertiary Qualification in Finance Management/Accounting, understanding processes and terminology

Knowledge, Skills and Experience    

• Three or more years of working  experience as a Business Analyst in a retail, fintech, or FMCG environment is essential; 
• Experience with at least two of the following four platforms:  payment integrations, POS systems, supply chain/WMS, or ERP systems; 
• Exposure to agile delivery methodologies.
• Strong understanding of finance and accounting terms and concepts: The candidate must have a solid understanding of financial terminology, principles, and accounting practices to effectively communicate and support financial system requirements
• Ability to interpret financial data: The candidate must demonstrate the ability to analyse financial information and translate it into actionable insights for both IT and finance teams.
• Business Analyst exposure with system analysis; business process development; including the holding of workshops; preparing documentation 
• Experience in writing business and system requirements and functional specifications 
• Experience in communicating with clients and facilitating workshops
• Business process modelling and documenting workflows
• Presentation and communication skills and facilitation of workshops
• Logical thinking and analytical ability with excellent numerical skills and the ability to be accurate and pay attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities    

• Portfolio Scope: Includes Payments & VAS, including payment tender integrations, VAS, Channel Integrator, Reconciliation & settlement, and Secondary (POS/Digital, Online Commerce, Supply Chain, ERP) 
• Acting as an interface between business units, technology teams and support teams
• Identifying, assessing and documenting business requirements and user stories
• Assessing and defining change requests received from users about business processes and systems.
• Participate in the solution design process, provide solutions for requests and support for the implementation thereof.
• Translate business processes and system requirements into specific projects, ensuring solutions are commercially acceptable within the strategic framework.
• Provide effective and timeous support to internal users on processes, systems and technology activities
• Maintain configuration documents and provide recommendations as necessary.
• Supply users with skills and knowledge of processes and systems via training sessions and workshops.
• Define the success criteria for solution testing
• Assist with UAT, functional and integration testing.
