Business Architect

The Distribution Technology team is looking for an enthusiastic Business Architect to assist in defining and designing the technology ecosystem for financial advisers.

The Successful Candidate Must Have a

• Good understanding of business and technology
• Deep knowledge on the adviser customer Journey, customer segmentation, propensity scoring, targeting and campaign management aimed at supporting financial advisers.
• Strong design thinking and UX experience
• Sound understanding of database concepts, and customer data modelling

The Business Architect Will Also Have The Following Responsibilities

• Collaborate with peer architects in other businesses to ensure proper solution integration.
• Work closely with all stakeholders and secure buy-in.
• Brief and sign-off on all solutions to be implemented with business owners and relevant implementation teams from Systems, Marketing, Legal and Compliance, Operations and Training.
• Develop business cases for solutions and assisting business owners in the process of developing theirs.
• Play an active role in the prioritisation forums.

Qualifications

• BSC or BComm ( Hons) (Infomatics)
• 7 to 10 years Business Analysis experience, including 5 years at a senior level
• Significant exposure to business product analysis

Experience

• Business process/strategy analysis
• Solid business acumen/skills
• Stakeholder management/commitment between business and solutions
• Technology terms and capabilities
• Structured systems analysis
• 3 years business architecture
• Ability to manage scope and cost of a deliverable
• Full software life cycle, with solid agile experience
• 6 - 8 years domain knowledge in insurance (advantageous)
• Financial services experience (non-negotiable)
• Solid business acumen skills
• Solid focus on business strategy and stakeholder engagement
• Strong and confident person in implementing strategy and solid principles
• Various projects focusing on business architecture and business change to make business more efficient.
