    Business Development / Account Manager (Panel Builders & Distributors)

    Job Description

    What is the Opportunity?

    • Based in KwaZulu Natal, South Africa and reporting to the Regional Sales Manager; this dynamic position will see you creating demand and driving profitable growth (for all Schneider Electric Products and Solutions) through Distributors and Panel Builders.  This will be achieved in a defined geographic area and via a Commercial Action Plan, that you will build and execute.
    • This position operates in a flexible, and hybrid working model (i.e. a mix of office, and customer visits). 

    What Will You Deliver?

    • Achieve revenue target by building and executing a business plan for key account customers across KwaZulu Natal.
    • Build, manage and execute an effective Commercial Action Plan (CAP)
    • Own the project landscape for your territory to drive results, including building relationships with all key stakeholders, including, end customers and channels.
    • Lead pricing and specification conversations, price projects quickly and accurately to ensure a good customer experience.
    • Accountable for the territory ecosystem; including value chain mapping and influencing relationships.
    • Maintain in-depth knowledge of market dynamics and competitor activity, providing feedback to the business.
    • Update and manage business CRM (bFO/salesforce)
    • Support of the broader Schneider business, to deliver customer outcomes.
    • As an Account Manager you are responsible for the sale of the Distributors & Panel Building product range, solutions and services, particularly in the field of automation, electrical distribution & control.
    • You maintain the existing customer portfolio and actively build to increase it within the world of distributors, installers and panel builders.
    • You are a team player and work daily with colleagues who work parallel to you as well as with our back office, marketing and technical teams.
    • You analyze the needs of the customers and propose suitable solutions and services.
    • You build customer relationships with installers, panel builders and our distributors and you also put sufficient energy into maintaining and expanding our various partner programs.
    • You are responsible for identifying, coordinating and commercially following up on projects at the customers for which you are responsible.
    • You will stay informed about our range by participating in internal product training.

    Who are You?

    • You’re a relationship builder, and a collaborator; delivering true customer value by building upon your skills and experience gained a sales, key account management or marketing environment. 
    • You have exposure to, or an understanding of, the Electrical Industry and your passion for your profession, and the prospect of being part of Schneider Electric as a market leader, shines through.  
    • You’re a curious and customer centric individual. Someone who can build rapport and value quickly; to maximise exposure and commercial growth with our key customers and channels.

    Qualifications

    • You have a (technical) bachelor's or master's degree or equivalent through experience.
    • You are commercially oriented and you are willing to receive additional training in Schneider Electric products.
    • You are reliable, loyal and enterprising.
    • You are result-oriented, ambitious, open to learning and able to work in a dynamic environment
    • You have at least three years of experience in a relevant commercial B2B sales position.
    • You are communicative, customer-oriented, flexible and accurate.
    • You are a relationship builder. Both with customers (Panel Builders, Installers & Distributors) and with internal stakeholders (other sales teams, marketing, customer care, finance)
    • You have a good knowledge of MS office, Teams and contemporary CRM tools.
    • You are English-speaking, but you can certainly also work well in other South African languages (both spoken and written)
    • An advantage is if you have a large network within the world of electrical wholesalers and/or installers/panel builders.
    • You find the energy transition and digitization fascinating and building a sustainable world is your passion.
