    Business Development Manager - Education Territory focus - KZN

    Key qualifications, experience, skills and attributes:

    • Minimum of 7 years of sales experience in education /technology based products.
    • Technology savvy - open to using various software, understanding technological solutions.
    • Enthusiastic about technology in education.
    • Experience with solution-based approach to solving customer requirements and an understanding of complex sales cycles.
    • Excellent conceptual, verbal and written communication as well as networking skills.
    • High quality preparation and presentation skills.
    • Be highly motivated and organised, work independently, and possess strong sense of timeous execution on tasks.
    • Ability to deal with ambiguity and adapt to, and drive change as required.
    • Experience in customer support.
    • Willing to be coached and taught according to Apple sales standard and apply to local education market for success of the business and the customer.
    • Demonstrate financial acumen with regards to targets and reporting
    • Demonstrate consistent ability to meet and exceed sales goals.
    • Be able to secure new business in highly competitive situations.
    • Innovative and creative thinking.
    • Attention to detail and administration ability.
    • Own transport essential.
    • Ability to travel

    Key Performance Areas

    • Manage and grow the iStore Education footprint in KZN schools and tertiary education institutions, both public and private sector
    • Implement sales plans and quarterly targets aligned with business objectives, ensuring achievement of these targets
    • Identify and capitalise on new business opportunities while maintaining existing relationships in schools and tertiary education institutions
    • Ensure a well-managed sales pipeline and oversee its management
    • Host regular events and training sessions for educators, education leaders and decision-makers on the latest offerings and solutions
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with regional iStore Team
    • Conduct market research to stay updated on trends and customer needs in the education space
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and industry contacts
    • Develop and maintain strong industry-relevant product knowledge
    • Present at national conferences
    • Representing /assistance with iSchoolAfrica in KZN when necessary .
