    Business Development Manager

    About the role

    • Position Title: Senior Business Development Professional for Industry verticals

    A Snapshot of Your Day

    • We are strengthening our BD team in the Southern Africa Sub Region with a strong technical profile needed to develop new energy solutions for the Southern Africa market.

    How You’ll Make an Impact

    • Generate leads and qualified opportunities for our sales team and sales channel
    • To further strengthen SE as a reference in power products in those verticals
    • Drive leads, build brand awareness and generate qualified opportunities.
    • As a vertical expert you will develop a strategic outlook and together with BD Team members define concrete plans leveraging synergies and collaborations to succeed in the region.


    What You Bring

    • We are looking for a Senior Business Developer with a long and outstanding track record in sales.
    •  A technical masters level qualification and a solid +15 years’ experience in selling in the energy, oil and gas, chemical and / or petrochemicals industry with a strong sales background, including customer engagement on senior level.
    • Conceptual problem solver and strategic approach combined with hands-on mentality; ability to define tangible concepts and business cases which take risks and feasibility of the solutions into account.
    • You have the technical understanding required to conduct co-creation engagements with customers.
    • You understand the value stream of the mining, chemicals, oil and gas market, especially in Africa.
    • You have a deep technical understanding of the Siemens Energy portfolio and know how to define a successful value proposition for the African market.
    • You have a long experience in customer engagement and building trust and relationships.
    • You develop sales strategies and can support others in their pursuit to successfully support our customers and market growth.
    • You are an entrepreneur and an experienced leader; you have led sales teams to successful outcomes.
    • You are a team player.
