    Business Development Specialist-Water Treatment - Johannesburg/KZN

    The Bus Dev Specialist is responsible for developing and maintaining customer & Supplier relationships within the chemical commodities/specialities market. This position drives sales growth by creating selling strategies to grow market share in each relevant product and service offering, develops and leverages relationships with clients and suppliers, and provides excellent customer service and technical expertise as required.

    YOUR ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Manage key Suppliers and Customers, increasing exclusive Supplier/Customer business
    • Develop and maintain long term relationships with key decision makers with principles and customers.
    • Provide technical support for sales team and customers
    • Assist in the development of supplier products within South Africa and neighbouring countries.
    • Improve organisation’s market position
    • Maintain extensive knowledge of current market conditions and competitors i.e. Research the competition and the markets, and customers to stay abreast of competitors, developments in competitive products, and changes in the market. Share information with sales team as necessary
    • Identify new business opportunities
    • Participate in setting pricing solutions
    • Attend industry events
    • Identify opportunities for campaigns, fairs, services and distribution channels that will increase sales

    YOUR PROFILE

    • Matric
    • Tertiary qualification BSC/Analytical Chemistry/ Sciences/Bachelors in Chemical/Mechanical/Engineering/Marketing/Commercial
    • 4-6 years Business Development/Technical Sales experience in manufacturing/commodities/Water/chemical distribution industry/Field
    • Working knowledge of boilers/cooling towers/wastewater treatment systems
    • Experience managing complex and/or significant customer relationships and key accounts.
    • Experience with CRM and MS Office
    • SAP knowledge advantageous
    • Valid driver’s License and own vehicle
