    Business Intellience & Compliance Consult

    About the job
    Main Focus

    • The BIC (Business Intelligence & Compliance) Team is an enablement to the business to ensure it achieves the objectives set for it.
    • Assist with the processes within the overall Advisory division to ensure effective and efficient operations reporting directly to BIC Lead and indirectly to the Marsh Advisory Managing Director

    Main Duties And Responsibilities

    • Provide guidance and support to all Practices within Advisory.
    • Capture Cost Entries when necessary for the Business as well as load supplier invoices for payment as well as report on costs loaded on a weekly basis.
    • Ability to reconcile cost entries and payments made on a monthly basis – with the ability to pick up errors and correct them effectively
    • Ability to communicate and provide info where necessary to FP&A contact
    • Vet information received from the Business when loading a project and pick up errors beforehand, correct them and educate the Business on their errors
    • Act proactively to ensure smooth team operations within BIC as well as Advisory
    • Obtain an understanding of our weekly reports (Debtors, WIP, Recovery Rate, Utilization) in order to assist the Business in achieving their respective KPI’s
    • Gather, consolidate and provide regular feedback on various reports from the team in a timely manner for reporting purposes.
    • Be able to assist the Leader in collating information for Leadership and Exco meeting to present findings
    • Assist Leader in calculating KPI’s monthly for the rest of the Business
    • Assist Leader in performing internal audit for Advisory and report on such findings monthly
    • Ensure compliance against Marsh Advisory Standard Operating Procedures
    • Interpreting of Reports to assist Business on Projects’ status
    • Any other task that would be reasonably expected of them


    , qualifications and job knowledge:

    • Must have a strong accounting knowledge
    • Internal Audit experience preferred but not a must
    • Knowledge of Elite and Sales Force preferred but not a must
    • Fluent in English (verbal and written)
    • High level of computer literacy – in particular Microsoft packages
    • Excellent Excel skills – in particular – PIVOT tables, Advanced Formulas
