Management of the SAP Buyers “cockpit” to ensure efficient and effective order placement with suppliers with an average turnaround of less than 2 working days
Expedites confirmed orders with suppliers to ensure efficient delivery of goods and services to the end users through management of open orders report
Monthly control report completion relating to: aged purchased orders, deviation notices, information record changes, post month-end processing
Attendance of meetings to engage with End Users and staff around purchase orders, procurement policy and areas of concern and governance
Ensures that all purchase orders are interrogated to understand cost drivers whilst seeking to gain savings through consolidation of orders, quote renegotiation on influenceable spend and value bundling
Identifies opportunities to reduce free text within respective area of control by identifying stock items, opportunities for service blanket orders, fixed monthly orders, or catalogue purchasing.
Sources alternate quotations for comparative and benchmarking of goods and service aligned to the Procurement of Goods and Service policy
Performs a “Gatekeeper” function which entails the scrutinizing of quotations in relation to policy and governance
