Company Secretary – 5 – Year Fixed Term Contract (Renewable Based On Performance)
Develop and implement policies and strategies for the governance and company secretariat function Strategically direct the development and implementation of strategies, policies and programmes for the NCC Research best practices , impact assessments and benchmarks Provide mechanisms to monitor the implementation of programmes Direct the allocation of resources for programmes deliverables and monitor all aspects
Develop corporate governance systems for the Commission Design procedures for the governance of systems such as EXCO, MANCO, Financial Management Committee, Tender Award Committee and any other relevant Committees Produce the report detailing the processes involved for final sign off. Ensure adherence to the systems by all Business Units
Build capacity to all members of the Commission Conduct Induction of members of the Commission Facilitate skills development for the members of the Commission Advise the Commission on policies and legislation on which to make decisions
Provide technical advice to the Commission in line with legislation and regulatory framework Analyse submissions made to the Commission in line with the legislation Formulate recommendations for final decisions by the Commission
Facilitate the implementation of Commission decision 51 Refer the decisions of the Commission to relevant Divisional Heads for proper attention 5.2 Conduct follow ups on the implementation of the decisions 5.3 Update the Commission on the progress
Monitor the implementation of corporate governance and other relevant legislation Conduct reviews of the effectiveness of the corporate governance systems Put in place mechanisms for the strengthening and enhancement of the governance systems Re-evaluate and report the findings for implementation.
Review and analyse policies Assess the impact of the present policies, procedures and norms Analyse the present procedures and identify gaps Review the present procedures, norms and standards
Minimum Qualifications:
Post Graduate Qualification in Human Sciences, Legal, Commerce or equivalent and Driver’s Licence
Minimum Experience: 6 Years Management Experience in Public or Private Sector
Training: Computer Literacy (MS Office 365) Project Management and Knowledge of Legislation and Regulatory Framework
