Buyer (Manufacturing Business) - Krugersdorp at MECS (Pty) Ltd

All Buying and Procurement functions for a manufacturing business.

• Minimum 3 years local and international buying experience within a Manufacturing Company.
• Local and International Buying
• Ensure entire order is delivered as per P/O
• Ensure correct documentation has been received
• Ensure quality and pricing have been checked for acceptable standards and competitiveness
• Expedite and follow up with suppliers to schedule deliveries, resolve material, value discrepancy, and outstanding and overdue delivery of orders, warranty claims, repairs and damage, and return of materials
• Sourcing of new materials and alternatives to current products, in order to mitigate supply challenges
• Maintain supplier price list folder monthly
• Complete credit applications for new supplier accounts

General

• Price negotiation with entire supply chain
• Build, maintain and manage supplier relationships and keep up good communications
• Support the purchasing function and other relevant departments and communicate any supply problems which may impact on business operations
• Sourcing & provision of costings of ad-hoc goods, materials, components or services
• Inventory analysis
• Excel based MRP monthly
• Update of monthly general pricing of products for sales department
• Forward planning on procurement (local & cross border)
• Monthly stock take participation for all departments
• Assist management with special projects on occasion
• Halaal & Kosher Management
• FSSC supplier compliance
• FSSC Team member (document attached)
• Any reasonable Ad-Hoc requirement from the line-manager and/or senior management
