In this role, you are not just processing orders; you're a key player in navigating our procurement strategies to success.You will manages a portfolio of NPS material for Elandsfontein, Johannesburg factory, and the whole contract manufacturing spend, to maximize cost and service benefit for the company by implementing agreed strategies, improvising on and using purchasing tools for effective and efficient operations.

Your responsibilities

• Develop sourcing strategies, recommend local suppliers, and manage contracting processes.
• Build, select, and develop supplier relationships while leading negotiations within the assigned portfolio.
• Prepare budget assumptions for contract manufacturing spend and ensure delivery against those targets.
• Identify risks and opportunities in sourcing, driving mitigation and contingency plans to secure uninterrupted supply.
• Monitor market dynamics to capture commercial advantages and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Draft, review, and update contracts with Legal to protect IP, reduce liabilities, and ensure compliance with governance, pricing approvals, and use of procurement tools (Ariba, Anaplan).

The experience we're looking for

• BCom/BSc degree in any discipline relating to procurement and/or supply chain.
• 3-5 year’s experience in FMCG
• Develop, and recommend the strategy, sourcing and contracting of local suppliers.
• Experience in negotiating and influencing at senior levels.
• Demonstrate financial and commercial acumen when identifying business issues/opportunities.
• People skills capable of building and influencing strong working relationships across wide and diverse teams.
