About the Job
The Key Accountabilities of the Job covers:

• Take part in regular stand-ups, planning sessions, retrospectives and development sprints.
• Contribute to creating and running automated testing, maintenance and bug-resolution processes.
• Help in maintaining our development and production environments.
• Support and maintenance of applications based on ASP.NET/MVC and other technologies mentioned above
• Research and evaluate Production issues and provide recommendations for solutions
• Define, understand and recommend changes to the existing software and application environment in tandem with the current business needs and direction
• Will be involved in multiple projects simultaneously and engaged in problem solving on these projects
• Apply technical processes to solve complex problems.
• Develop and implement solutions in line with business requirements with adherence to existing processes and procedures
• Develop solutions that meet strict industry security standards
• Work closely with other members of the Development Team to both develop detailed specification documents with clear project deliverables and timelines
• Provide project estimates, whether high level or detailed, in a manner that has considered all aspects of the task and as accurate as possible
• Translate every functional and non-functional requirement into system requirements without omission
• Own an assignment, including taking personal accountability of defects in process, to delivering full SDLC support for the assignment given
• Follow software development best practices and SDLC

About the Person
Relevant IT Tertiary Qualification

• At least 3 - 5 years’ relevant experience relating to the skills
• Have a sound understanding of ASP.NET, AJAX, .NET 4.0 Framework, advanced JavaScript, Typescript, Angular, C#, and T-SQL. Mobile application development a bonus.
• Good Communication skills
• Have a strong learning mind set
• Have a paradigm to work in a dynamic environment
• Own transport with valid driver’s license

Competencies:

• Design software solutions that meet the business requirements and are easy to maintain. Develop software systems according to specifications. Follow and contribute to development policies and procedures. 
• Strong understanding of web design as it relates to MVC design patterns, attuned to the fundamentals of user interaction 
• Web development experience with ASP.NET/MVC, AJAX, jQuery, C#, .NET Framework, custom Web User Controls, JavaScript, Angularjs, web designs and complex GUI scenarios 
• Ionic, Cordova, node webkit, Electron or cross platform development very advantageous.
• Understanding of Web Services, creation and consumption
• Microsoft Visual Studio experience
• Experience developing complex SQL statements and working with SQL Server 2012 
• SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS)

Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team
Strong JavaScript skills
