Cargo Agent at Turkish Airlines

• Promote/sell/secure business from existing and prospective customers through consultative and solutions relationship-based approach
• Manage and ensure the smooth handling of all day to day cargo booking activities for the Cape Town station
• Coordinate sales efforts and requirements with reservation, accounting and operation teams.
• Liaise with Turkish Cargo Headquarter team for tracing and provide necessary follow up with customers
• Respond to customers’ questions, problems, requests and/or complaints.
• Represent and promote Turkish Cargo within cargo industry community.
• Report to Nairobi Regional Cargo Manager

Requirements

• Degree holder in Logistics or Business related disciplines preferable.

• At least 3 years working experience in Airlines or Logistics related industry, knowledge in sales and marketing, operations and business development will be an advantage.

• Strong understanding of the cargo business with commercial sales experience.
• Highly developed interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
• Result oriented and possessing strong negotiating skills.
• Ability to build strong relationships with both internal and external customers.
• Must be receptive to flexible work hours, holiday/weekend coverage and travel expectations
• Good command in written and spoken English and local languages
• Proficiency with PC Window applications such as Word ,Excel and Power Point
• Permanent residence permit in the respective country (The Company will not provide or assist with work permits)
