    IT Support Technician

    RESPONSIBILITIES:
    Managing local and remote branch IT services including but not limited to:

    • Installing, configuring, and maintaining computer hardware and software systems, including operating systems, applications, and utilities
    • Implementing, maintaining, and supporting server hardware and storage infrastructure
    • Implementing, maintaining, and supporting Microsoft Core infrastructure technologies including Windows Server, Active Directory, Hybrid Microsoft 365 and Exchange 2019
    • Implementing, maintaining, and supporting network infrastructure (LAN and WiFi)
    • Collaborating with the IT team to implement and maintain network security measures, such as firewalls and antivirus software
    • Maintaining and supporting VoIP systems
    • Providing guidance and training to end-users on the effective use of technology resources and tools
    • Liaising with contractors and vendors to design, implement and maintain technology solutions

    REQUIREMENTS

    • A basic understanding of warehousing / store procedures
    • Ability to work under pressure & work unsupervised the majority of the time
    • Ability to communicate both verbally and written on all levels – both internally and externally
    • Ability to work as a team player
    • Ability to communicate fluently in both English and Afrikaans
    • Good time management – meeting specific deadlines
    • Prepared to work outside normal working hours – as and when required
