Cashier at RCL Foods

• RCL believes in doing more! We are passionate about our commitment to providing more food to more people more often. A vacancy exist for a Cashier at our Secubda Depot in the Mpumalanga. This position will report to the Depot Manager.
• The successful incumbents will be responsible for collecting and balancing all cash received from the drivers on a daily basis.

Minimum Requirements    

• Grade 12 (with maths & accounting)
• 2 – 3 years’ experience as a cashier or bank experience as well as general office experience
• Computer skills (Word, Excel and Syspro)
• Honest
• Organised
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Must be a self-starter and have the ability to use own initiative
• Good wriitten and verbal skills
• High Level of Accuracy

Duties & Responsibilities    

• Receive and recount cash from Drivers
• Process payment against the correct driver receipt
• Make up bank, ensuring that it balance daily
• Record cash and cheques in cash- up summary
• Cash up on a daily basis
• Prepare deposit for bank
• Record seal numbers in register
• Keep the cash office door locked at all times
• Lock cash in safe overnight 
• Report discrepancies to Management
• Cash balances to Cashier report
• Capture information on Syspro    
• Submit cash summary on daily basis to Cashbook clerk
