Catering Manager - Healthwise at Tsebo Solution

Duties & Responsibilities    

• Lead and manage catering teams across patient wards, staff canteens, and retail food outlets
• Ensure meals meet strict clinical dietary requirements in partnership with dietitians and healthcare teams
• Oversee food safety, hygiene, infection control, and compliance with hospital standards
• Manage supplier relationships, stock control, budgeting, and cost efficiency
• Support improvements in patient experience through quality, accuracy, and timely meal delivery
• Coordinate catering support for hospital events, meetings, and specialised functions
• Drive continuous improvement to enhance service quality, sustainability, and operational efficiency

Skills and Competencies    

• Experience in hospital catering or a healthcare-regulated environment (advantageous)
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate diverse teams
• In-depth understanding of food safety, HACCP, hygiene, and infection control
• Familiarity with therapeutic diets and clinical nutrition requirements
• Excellent organisational, communication, and problem-solving abilities
• Financial acumen and experience managing KPIs, stock, and budgets
• A compassionate, patient-centred approach to service

Qualifications    

• Matric
• Relevant Tertiary Qualification would be an added advantage
• Preferably own vehicle would be an added advantage
• 5 - 8 years working experience
