Chef de Partie - Fixed Term Contractor at Discovery Limited

Job Purpose

Key Outputs may include but are not limited to:

Catering production

• Ensuring food is being produced safely and according to health and safety requirements.
• Ordering goods / stock

Request stock needed for events from the store man.

• Check stock quality.
• Check expiry date.
• Packing stock into designated storages.
• Daily monitoring the quality of stock in storages.

Health and Safety

• Cleaning and managing designated areas and stores.
• Working with HSE to ensure higher grading on kitchen audits.

Catering events

• Responsible for ensuring food is being prepared as per menus provided.
• Ensuring food is displayed and set-up 45 minutes before the event starts.

Wastage

• Manage quantities of food being produced to reduce wastage.
• Ordering what is needed for the week, to reduce the risk of spoilage.

Documenting

• Transfer document for stock allocation
• Requisitioning forms.
• Recipes to be followed as per the recipe file.
• Inventory control Job / Role Requirements

Work Experience

Required

• 5 years working experience

Education / Qualifications / Accreditations with Professional Body

Required

• Culinary qualification / Diploma
