Job Description

• A leading organisation is seeking an experienced Buyer to join their team in Pinetown, KZN.
• The successful candidate will be responsible for managing procurement activities, sourcing materials, negotiating with suppliers, and ensuring cost-effective purchasing while maintaining quality and supply continuity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage end-to-end procurement processes.
• Source and evaluate suppliers based on quality, cost, and delivery requirements.
• Negotiate pricing, contracts, and supplier terms.
• Monitor supplier performance and maintain strong supplier relationships.
• Ensure purchase orders are processed accurately and timeously.
• Manage stock availability and prevent supply interruptions.
• Collaborate with internal departments to understand procurement requirements.
• Maintain accurate procurement records and reporting.

Requirements:

• Relevant qualification in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• Minimum 2-3 years as a chemical Buyer  
• Experience within a manufacturing environment advantageous.
• Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.
• Good understanding of procurement processes and systems.
• Excellent administrative and organisational skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
