Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute financial strategies to support the company's growth objectives and long-term vision.
Financial Management: Oversee all financial activities including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Operational Excellence: Drive operational efficiency by implementing effective financial controls and processes across the organization.
Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with the executive team and Pepkor board of directors to align financial goals with overall business strategy and communicate financial performance and forecasts.
Risk Management: Identify financial risks and implement strategies to mitigate risk, ensuring the company's financial health and stability.
Innovation: Lead initiatives to leverage technology and data analytics to enhance financial performance and decision-making.
Enterprise Thinking: Collaboration with key stakeholders in the business to deliver on the overall financial objectives set by the company.
Leadership & Culture: Enables & promotes our Sikhula KhunYe culture and values of honesty, passion, and resourcefulness. Provides inspirational leadership to the Finance division.
Requirements
Job Requirements
Experience: Executive leadership experience in a finance role for 5-10 years is required. Proven experience as a Head of Finance or CFO within the retail sector is preferable.
Education: CA (SA) prerequisite.
Skills: Exceptional analytical, strategic thinking, entrepreneurial skills; leadership skills; proven track record of building a high performance culture, strong understanding of financial regulations and compliance.
