Job Purpose    

• Applies professional principles and, controls technical procedures and processes to address the specific engineering requirements.

Key Responsibility Areas    

• Provides technical support to the Area / Works Project Engineer.
• Responsible for the professional analysis of the various aspects associated with water conveyance and storage, wastewater conveyance and disposal.
• Interacts with the other organisations and affected parties in order to ensure that all parties are advised of projects that affect them.
• Undertakes professional supervision of contracts.
• Responsible for the preparation of draft routine reports, correspondence and estimates for submission to Area Engineer.
• Responsible for checking of Developers submission in order to ensure compliance with the Departments design criteria and specifications

Essential Requirements    

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering (NQF Level 8) in Civil Engineering.
• Registered as a Candidate Civil Engineer with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) within 3 months of appointment.
• Valid motor vehicle driving license.
• 2 years relevant post qualification experience.
• Computer Literacy.
