What we are looking for in a nutshell:
We are searching for an experienced Class Coach, capable of supporting, mentoring, and motivating students. Effectively, you will ensure a positive experience of the DFI learning journey for all students and, more importantly, aim for their successful completion. Ideally, your experience as an educator would include exposure to digital online learning (within the financial services field is a plus), applying the skills / knowledge gained in order to effectively monitor progress and comprehension, communicate frequently with the students and encourage positive participation.
Our ideal candidate has at least 1–2 years’ experience in a client-facing position and has a willingness to learn and become proficient in various topics taught within the digital financial services field.
Digital Frontiers Institute delivers learning to a multitude of countries across the globe. Therefore, you must possess and be able to demonstrate your experience with cross-cultural sensitivity – having the ability to flex your style is very important. It’s expected for you to be highly proficient in your English communication skills (both written and verbal).

Main responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Set-up and generate weekly / monthly / quarterly reports for various operational areas
Assist with the admissions process and apply early retention measures for participants from the onset
Provide effective support and personalised communication through the online platform, keeping participants engaged throughout the duration of the course
Become familiar with and document the nuances of specific course structures, to assist in advanced course administration and course structure queries
Participate in data reviews to inform improvements in product design, sales positioning, marketing, and business development
Analyse course content and structure, and contribute towards articles / videos for proactive student assistance with the aim of promoting student self-help
Remain up-to-date on departmental processes and industry changes that can have a rollover effect on students
Meet defined KPIs and participate in regular qualitative coaching and development feedback
Self-manage workload using data and metrics to drive efficiency
Facilitate discussions within the online learning environment
Utilise an in-depth understanding of the DFI platform to guide the participants in platform navigation, troubleshooting technical problems and reporting unresolved issues as required
Provide support to at-risk participants to enable and support a successful course completion
Provide certification related support and administration.

Experience and qualification:
Undergraduate degree (essential)
Proficiency in English (written and spoken) (essential)
Teaching / lecturing experience/ facilitation experience/ training experience (advantageous)
Experience within the EdTech / Fintech environment (advantageous)
Customer service/ client-facing experience (advantageous)Specialist knowledge / skills:
Knowledge with online learning / LMS experience
Excellent interpersonal skills
Technical proficiency in working on different systems (training will be provided)
Questioning, taking ownership of and simplifying the tasks to achieve business outcomes
Communication skills – ability to speak and write English at a high level of proficiency, ability to communicate with people from a range of cultures with sensitivity, and demonstrated ability to establish productive, collaborative relationships with counterparts

Work hours and location:
This is a permanent contract position and reports directly to the Course Operations Manager.
The office hours are standard. However, from time-to-time, our team is expected to work flexible and non-standard working hours.
This position is a hybrid working position. Therefore, applicants must have an adequate workstation / home environment free from background noise, as well as their own ADSL / Fibre connection at home (proof of sufficient connectivity may be required).
Applicants must be able to operate efficiently online during times of loadshedding or power outages.
