Cloud Software Quality Engineer at Jendamark

Basic Requirements:

Formal Tertiary education:

• Grade 12
• Information Technology Degree / National Diploma Software Development/ Computer Science

Languages:

• English – Read, write and speak (required)
• Afrikaans – Read, write and speak (optional)
• Drivers Licence: Code 8 (required)

Experience:
Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in:

• Object-oriented development experience in C#, Java or similar languages
• Proven experience in manual testing methodologies and automation testing
• Basic understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC)
• Proficiency in bug tracking, troubleshooting cloud applications and test case management tools
• Ability to create and execute test cases
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Job Objectives:

• The Cloud Software Quality Engineer is responsible for uncovering and maintaining the quality of cloud applications
• This includes but is not limited to manual/automation testing, bug identification and triage, process improvement and test reporting.

Main Tasks/Responsibilities:

• Develop comprehensive test plans, test cases, and scripts to ensure thorough test coverage
• Execute test cases manually and automate test scripts where applicable
• Identify, document, and track software defects using bug tracking tools
• Collaborate with development teams to resolve issues promptly
• Analyze software requirements and design specifications to identify testable functions
• Prepare and present test reports to project stakeholders, including test summary reports, defect reports, and test metrics.
