Communication Officer: Departmental Communication, Ref No. WCMD 04/2024 at Western Cape Government

Job Purpose

Western Cape Mobility Department has an exciting employment opportunity for a suitably qualified and competent individual to render a communication support service to the Western Cape Mobility Department. This individual must have the ability to work under pressure, willingness to work irregular hours and meet tight deadlines. This post is based in Cape Town – CBD.

Minimum Requirements

• An appropriate (3-year National Diploma/B Degree or higher qualification) in Communication Science or Public Relations or equivalent;
• A minimum of 3 years appropriate experience in a departmental communication working environment;
• A valid Code B (or higher) driving licence.

Key Performance Areas

• Research, planning and implementation of internal communication support within the Department;
• Research, planning and implementation of external communication support within the Department;
• Provide support for the Department’s media management services; Planning and administration.
