Description of Managed Services, the role and purpose of the job:

The areas that we will require your expertise in are:

• Providing accounting and payroll services to a wide range of clients
• XBRL tagging of financial statements to meet CIPC requirements
• Compilation of financial statements in terms of IFRS/ IFRS for SME’s

Key responsibilities:

To produce high quality work with attention to detail. 

Accounting and payroll

• Process cash book, journals and general ledger transactions
• Maintenance/reconciliation of accounts
• Preparation of management accounts
• Prepare manual PAYE calculations as well as payroll reconciliations for auditors
• Provide the full payroll function for small to large entities and executive payrolls
• Complete EMP 201, EMP 501 and COIDA returns

XBRL tagging

• XBRL tagging of financial statements to meet the requirements of CIPC
• Good understanding of Companies Act requirements relating to XBRL tagging
• Analyse PI score calculations and Mandatory Information and incorporate into tagging

Compilation of financial statements

• Compilation of financial statements using Casweare or Draftworx
• Apply detailed knowledge of IFRS and IFRS for SME’s to ensure disclosure requirements are met in financial statements
• Apply logical thinking and analytical ability to information provided by clients

• Minimum requirements to apply for the role (including qualifications and experience):
• BComm Degree with 3 years relevant experience.
• Must be proficient in Xero and Caseware/ Draftworx
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
• Knowledge of IFRS and IFRS for SME’s
