Consultant: Functional Application Support at SITA SOC (Ltd)

Purpose of the job

• To provide Functional Application Support services related to specific clients and application systems according to service elements as specified in the applicable service level agreements.

Key Responsibility Areas

• To ensure a Financially stable environment.
• Provide Business Advisory Services. Oversee and Provide Functional Application Support service.
• Implement functional system enhancements / changes in accordance with client request.
• Provide Integrated Management information support solutions to clients and management.
• Pro-actively manage risks that might affect SITA’s performance and delivery to clients.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum: 3-year National Diploma / Degree in an ICT related field or equivalent qualification - at least NQF level 6.
• Experience: 5- 6 years’ experience in functional application support, specifically on the Department of Higher
• Education mainframe systems.

Technical Competencies Description

Knowledge of:

• Good understanding of the client business. (Business processes, policies and/or business operations).
• Business Process Management (BPM).
• Software integration testing, system integration testing, user acceptance testing and implementation of acceptance testing procedures.
• Understanding of enterprise business systems.

• Good ICT industry exposure with Application development / support trends (new/unusual/ground-breaking solutions).
