    Consultant - VCAS Advisory

    Job Description

    The Consultant will be a subject matter expert for the VCAS Rules Engine. The incumbent will deliver CEMEA wide VCAS optimisation services, tailoring client and market specific solutions using analytical insights to support fraud strategy management. Client engagements will vary from moderate to complex depending on client and length of each engagement.

    Additionally, the Consultant will work cross functionally within and outside of the CEMEA region. The incumbent will demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of Visa Risk and Authentication products and providing technical support where needed. The incumbent will also develop and train team members and act as subject matter expert within team.

    VCAS Overview

     

    Visa Consumer authentication Service (VCAS) is a network agnostic 3DS authentication solution that enables issuers to deliver a seamless, secure, digital-first authentication experience. It gives issuers the ability to create, test and publish authentication rules to deliver a challenge free consumer experience during ecommerce check-out. VCAS uses real-time risk-based assessments across all major card networks giving Issuers the power to adapt to the dynamic payments landscape.

     

    Team Summary

     

    The VCAS Advisory Consultant role will be part of the Client services, Strategic Client solutions team. The team is responsible for the delivery of client consultancy services for strategic products across the CEMEA region. This Value-Added Service provides best-in-class recommendations for optimizing VCAS rules that will reduce fraud, improve consumer experience, and increase issuer revenues. Clients will subscribe to one-time or annual advisory services and the VCAS consultant will work in a cross functional team to deliver the project.

     

    Key Responsibilities.

    • Drives client revenue optimization by leveraging relationships and strategies that align with Visa Advisory goals and retention objectives.
    • Provide consultancy services to CEMEA VCAS clients.
    • Support client VCAS discussions from both a technical and business perspective with client’s fraud, operations, project and customer services teams as well as senior executives
    • Understand customer needs, business requirements, fraud strategies and priorities to develop VCAS rule recommendations.
    • Identify and propose strategic VCAS rule recommendations that meet client established key performance metrics.
    • Perform regular client portfolio monitoring of VCAS rule performance and fraud environment to ensure reactivity to emerging trends.
    • Write detailed reports on performance, findings and recommendations.
    • Prepare and lead scheduled strategic engagements that review portfolio performance, detail recommendations and highlight industry fraud trends.
    • Maintain strong relations amongst team, as well as with key stakeholders across the organization.
    • Train and coach team members on VCAS day-to-day operations to ensure customer expectations are exceeded.

    This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

    Qualifications

    Basic Qualifications

    • 5+ years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s degree in business or computer Science

    Relevant work experience:

    • Working in eCommerce payment industry
    • Collaborating on and with enterprise-wide products, projects, and programs
    • Deriving insights and action items through analysis
    • Providing Solutions Delivery/professional services
    • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Office)
    • Exceptional presentation, consultative, and communication skills

    What will also help:

    • Knowledge of Security & Authentication Products preferred (such as Visa Secure, Visa Consumer Authentication Service, Visa Advanced Authorization, Visa Risk Manager, Tokenization, Visa Analytics Platform and others).
    • Ideally a minimum of 2 years’ experience of processing/ecommerce systems and services, and their practical application
    • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a customer support /Account Management role in financial services, software, or information services
    • In-market experience and/or knowledge of local language and culture as well as regulation and industry trends preferred Advanced PowerPoint and Excel skills required
    • Knowledge of competitive products such as Falcon, Acrot, SaaS, or other risk and authentication products, a plus
    • High energy, motivated team player, able to effectively lead across functions and teams to drive projects and key initiatives to completion.
    • Familiar with Payment Industry Standards and their application
