Controller:GIS/DATA at Nelson Mandela Bay Metro

Qualification and experience required:

• Relevant tertiary qualification.
• Appropriate driver’s licence.
• Two to three years’ working experience including ArcGIS and Microsoft programs as utilised by the Metro.

• Report-writing and sound administrative skills.

Job purpose:

• Planning, developing, coordinating, controlling and administering an efficient and effective support services for the Environmental Services Business Unit’s Service Plan through the creation and maintenance of a Geographical Information System, creation and maintenance of a statistical database, provision of assistance with development of a Waste Information System, provision of guidance and advice to all levels of relevant Metro officials in the beneficial application of GIS processes/data and the performance of administrative duties.
• As part of the selection process, candidates may be tested on any requirement, skill or competency, which will include pre-employment screening, medical examination, security vetting and psychometric assessment.
