Controller: Quality Control | Cargo Commercial Vehicles Germiston at Motus Holdings Limited

Position Overview    

• The Controller: Quality Control is respnsible for managing quality workshop through - puts and ensuring quality control of the service carried out within the workshop. 

Specific Role Responsibilities    
Manage Key Performance Areas of staff

• Disciplinary procedures
• Staff development
• Carry out regular Technician tool inspections
• Traceable job card handling for sign-offs and costing
• Inform Service Manager of product failures
• Ensure that technical information is up-to-date and readily available
• Ensuring that all special tools are handled with care (updates on XD tools)
• Quality Control of vehicles to ensure top quality workmanship and to ensure that all customer complaints/requirements have been attended to.

Providing customers with excellent service

• Ensuring that work is carried out to OEM Standard and as arranged / agreed with customers
• Constant Team Leader feedback and updates
• Verify that reported customer complaints are resolved with 3 C’s
• Ensure that Workshop findings are documented properly with 3 C’s
• Give feedback on trend defects and possible solutions

To be financially profitable

• Promote labour sales
• Ensure that all cash jobs are prioritized
• Proper cost control
• Additional duties will be given and may change from time to time as required

Qualifications and Experience    

• Trade Tested Diesel Technician (5+ years’ experience)
• Matric and N3 Diesel Trade
• Valid EC (Code 14) Pr.DP
• Computer literate
• Must be able to translate WIS into quality repairs
