Cooker Operator at RCL Foods

Job Description    

• RCL is looking for an experienced cooker operator to look after the effluent plant to ensure effective operation execution of the production plan and cook PBY meal to ensure compliance to quality standards as per act 36 of 1947.

Minimum Requirements    

• Grade 12 (or equivalent literacy and numeric level).
• Clean criminal record.
• High levels of honesty and integrity.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Quick problem solving skills.
• Must be able to work Shifts, Public Holidays and Weekends.
• Punctuality / Time-keeping.

Duties & Responsibilities    

• Ability to complete job and assist in meeting daily production targets.
• Cook PBY meal to ensure compliance to quality standards as per act 36 of 1947.
• Ensure safe practices when cooking
• Load the cooker to the required capacity with the correct raw materials
• Understanding of pressure cooking and risks with steam and pressure equipment
• Report any defects on the cooker to the process leader.
• Assist in the DAF plant operations.
• Good housekeeping and familiar with health & Safety and hygiene practices
• Perform all duties with accuracy and speed.
• Be an integral part of a high performance team.
• Compliance to all Food, Health and Safety standards.
