    Copywriter & Coordinator

    Ready to rewrite the future with us? Join the club today! We’re looking for a creative thinker with excellent writing and research skills to help us elevate that work as our full-time, in-house copywriter and content creator. As a member of the marketing team, our copywriter/content creator will write and edit copy for a variety of projects (including print, web, mobile, video, SEO, SEM and social media), working closely with the designer to brainstorm ideas, create concepts, and develop messaging and content ideas. The most successful copywriter will be a quick learner with a versatile writing style. They will also be responsible for managing the day-to-day of FlexClub’s digital media activity and engagement online. This candidate will help merge the business objectives with creative solutions in a way that moves beyond just aesthetics but rather to verbally communicate our business, marketing, and content strategies creatively, effectively, and ultimately, change minds and turn drivers into converted FlexClub members. We would LOVE it if this person was a content creator themselves and could bring their flair to the brand. Please note that this is a startup and will require a growth/hustling mindset where you don’t get stuck in one role - you will touch all areas of the business.     Objectives of this Role

    • Thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with a high-volume workload often requiring short turnaround times

    • Continually raise the bar on creativity, writing fresh copy that connects with the desired audience and drives action

    • Evolve the brand’s voice, style, and other characteristics in order to appeal to the target audience at hand

    • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of communication and industry trends

    • Stay updated on appropriate style guidelines and brand voice for consistency in messaging

    • Manage the brand’s social media pages whilst organically growing their following and engagement

    • Develop and execute strategic content ideas to be run both on and offline

    Responsibilities

    • Develop and produce creative concepts together with the marketing team

    • Research and understand the brand and its target audiences, through online searches, reviews of existing research, interviews with subject matter experts, and in-person meetings

    • Write original copy and edit content for a range of corporate marketing and communications materials

    • Collaborate with a variety of teams from concept development to delivery of the final product

    • Present copy concepts and final deliverables to internal team

    • Revise copy based on internal feedback/direction

    • Respond to social media queries or engagements

    • Grow the FlexClub social media presence and actively engage on other social media pages and groups that are relevant to our product offering

    • Schedule or organic social media posts

    • Identify and boost relevant social media posts when applicable to meet greater marketing objectives

    • Create content ideas to be rolled out both on and offline

    • Attend events and produce live social media content.

    • Assist and roll out content shoots and requirements

    • Develop content to keep up with everyday trends

    • Maintain unified brand voice across different social media channels.

    • Collaborate with the marketing team to create a fully comprehensive content plan and calendar.

    • Monitor social media channels for industry trends.

    • Interact with users and respond to social media messages, inquiries, and comments.

    • Manage email marketing campaigns

    • Review analytics and create reports on key metrics.

    • Assist in the development and management of social media marketing, influencer marketing, campaign and content strategy.

     Requirements & Skills

    • Ability to think critically, communicate effectively, and work within deadlines

    • Has good communication skills, is proactive, and is a hustler

    • Doesn’t need to be micromanaged - just gets the job done

    • Embraces our hard-working but flexible company ethos

    • Bachelor’s degree in journalism, English, communications, or related discipline

    • Minimum 3 years professional copywriting experience with a solid portfolio of work

    • Exceptional writing and research skill

    • Content writing and creation skills

    • Ability to work independently and with a team to meet deadlines

    • Excellent organizational skill and multitasking ability

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Google tools

    • Ability to project manage content, digital and creative tasks

    • SEO Knowledge

     Preferred Qualifications

    • 2+ years of Social media or content marketing experience / 2 + years content creation experience

    • 3+ years copywriting experience

    • In-depth knowledge and experience in communication and copywriting principles and guidelines

    • Experience working with content management systems, WordPress, Hubspot etc

    • A keen eye for detail and appreciation of great design

    • Ability to understand historical, current, and future trends in the digital content and social media space

    • Location

    • Remote Working - but would prefer for you to be based in Cape Town or Joburg
