Your primary responsibility is the design and implementation of a credit origination strategy which meets the business objectives.
You will manage a team of analysts and provide ongoing coaching and mentorship to support their growth.
You will also manage the credit underwriters and be responsible for decisions on escalated credit cases and other operational tasks.
You will be the owner of the Loan Originations Policy and Credit Risk SOP.
You will work closely with the Predictive Analytics (Data Science) team in the design of Credit Models that predict the Probability of Default, the future earnings potential of our customers and the risk of the schools that we support.
You will work closely with the product managers who work on the design of our financial product, the verification of our customer information and the disbursement of our loans.
You will work closely with the legal and compliance team to make sure that our underwriting strategy is compliant with Prodigy’s regulatory model.
From time to time, you will present our credit underwriting strategy externally to debt or equity investors.
Qualifications and Experience:

4-6 years of relevant experience in consumer credit originations. Experience managing scorecards,
Proven experience managing analysts will be a plus.
Proven ability to apply credit and risk principles toward business goals
Demonstrated ability to synthesise, prioritise and drive results with urgency
