The successful candidate will provide first-line customer support to end-users regarding utility-related queries. This includes handling telephonic, email and WhatsApp enquiries, resolving customer issues efficiently and professionally, and escalating technical matters where required.
The role requires someone who remains calm under pressure, communicates exceptionally well and genuinely enjoys assisting people.
Minimum requirements:
Matric (Grade 12)
2+ years' experience in a customer support, customer service or call centre environment
Experience within the utility management, property management or municipal services industry will be highly advantageous
Excellent communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
Valid driver's licence and own reliable transport
Must reside in Pretoria or surrounding areas
Comfortable participating in an after-hours standby roster
Duties are, but not limited to:
Provide first-line customer support via telephone, email and WhatsApp
Assist customers with utility-related enquiries, including:
Power outages
Meter-related queries
Account enquiries
General utility support
Resolve customer queries professionally and within agreed service levels
Escalate technical or unresolved issues to the Operations Manager or second-line support
Liaise with internal departments to ensure prompt resolution of customer issues
Maintain accurate records of all customer interactions
Compile and assist with weekly reporting
Deliver exceptional customer service while maintaining professionalism under pressure
Assist with additional operational duties when required
