Cyber Security Specialist - Edenvale at Datacentrix

• The Security Specialist will be responsible for the security necessary to support business needs which include:
• Developing, implementing, and monitoring enterprise-wide initiatives to reduce information security risks promoting utilization of industry standards and best practices
• Tracking violations of privacy and security
• Identifying security trends and evolving technologies
• Reporting information security risks in a manner that meets compliance and regulatory requirements
• Conduct and analyse data (Power BI & Advanced Excel)
• Identifies gaps in design and operating effectiveness of controls and identifies opportunities for continuous improvement
• Communicating effectively with management about related information security issues and implications to the enterprise

Requirements:

• Proven experience working in cybersecurity roles with a focus on defensive strategies and techniques
• In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity principles, technologies, and best practices, particularly in the areas of network security, endpoint security, and incident response
• Advanced Excel skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyse complex security incidents and develop effective response strategies
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
