Data Analyst at Exigent Group Limited

Key Duties

• Build machine learning models to make predictions and answer key business questions
• Develop data models and products to produce insights
• Perform feature engineering, visualisations and other techniques to make out certain perceptions from the available data
• Use statistics tools to analyze data to understand and model the relationship between different metrics and identify key insights
• Collaborate with teams to identify opportunities to build data science products

Skills

• Data Warehousing
• Handling of big data
• Artificial Intelligence (AI) (will be an added advantage)
• Expert level knowledge in SQL
• Working knowledge of database systems
• Proficient in mathematics, statistics, correlation, data mining and predictive analysis
• Strong problem solving skills with an emphasis on product development
• Experience using statistical computer languages (R, Python, SLQ, etc.) to manipulate data and draw insights from large data sets
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for coordinating across teams

Requirements

• 2 years’ experience in Information Technology
• Experience with designing and building data warehouses, business intelligence systems and complex data eco systems
• Experience with dashboard reporting and automated quality metrics
• Experience in ETL tools and programming languages like Python, R or Java to manipulate data and draw insights from large data sets.
• Experience working with and creating data architectures.
• Knowledge of advanced statistical techniques and concepts (regression, properties of distributions, statistical tests and proper usage, etc.) and experience with applications
