Data Analyst (post level 9): Department Institutional Advancement (Job ID 5569) at University of the Free State

Duties and responsibilities:

Database Management (IA and Alumni) 

• Liaise with UFS ICTS for Data and IT protocol and adherence to governance and database structures.
• Set up and test new modules in CRM system.
• Update records on the current CRM system.
• Monitor database efficiency.
• Develop protocols for data processing with UFS ICTS.
• Project manage data clean-up projects, Budget, and Procurement of suppliers.

Data and Operational Analytics 

• Generate Analytical reports for management.
• Create query definitions that allow data to be extracted.
• Refine operating procedures and data input measures of CRM/Database.
• Support IA Financial office with data/operational structure.
• Work closely with the Prospect Researcher in providing information (from IA database and other digital channels) on our alumni and supporters to better inform our fundraising and alumni engagement activities.

Digital/CRM/Media management 

• Maintain content of IA and Alumni web page, coordinating and collaborating with colleagues within and beyond the department (e.g., Communication and Brand Management).
• Set-up of communications via the DEVMAN CRM communication system.
• Manage content on SharePoint for collaboration and central reference point of important departmental documents.

Inherent Job Requirements:

• A Bachelor’s degree or an advanced diploma/ BTech degree/ postgraduate certificate on NQF level 7 or a three-year National Diploma in Information Technology on NQF level 6.
• A minimum of two (2) years relevant work experience relating to the duties and responsibilities.
