Data Loss Prevention Specialist at IQbusiness

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement data loss prevention policies, standards, and procedures to ensure the protection of sensitive such as a data classification, data retention, and archiving, data encryption, data masking and email labelling.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to assess data protection needs and design appropriate solutions.
• Configure and manage DLP tools and technologies to monitor and enforce data protection policies.
• Conduct risk assessments and security audits to identify vulnerabilities and recommend DLP controls.
• Investigate security incidents related to data loss or leakage and implement corrective actions.
• Provide guidance and training, where needed, on data protection best practices and compliance requirements.
• Provide guidance on the implementation of a DLP programme.
• Stay current with industry trends and advancements in DLP technologies and practices.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
• 5+ years proven experience as a DLP specialist or in a similar role, with a strong understanding of data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS).
• Hands-on experience with DLP tools such as Purview, Symantec DLP, McAfee DLP, or similar solutions.
• Familiarity with network security principles and technologies (firewalls, proxies, IDS/IPS).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex situations and prioritize effectively.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CompTIA Security+) are a plus.
• Must be able to accommodate hybrid or in office way of work.
