    Minimum Requirements    

    • Project management skills

    • Minimum 5 years’ relevant production / print experience

    Duties and Responsibilities    

    • Manage the development, recruitment, retention of a competent and motivated Visual Production team.
    • Lead and manage the daily operations of the print production processes, the manufacturing of hardware props and the dispatch thereof, on time delivery and within budget.
    • Remain up to date with the latest international and local print technologies, including most recent substrates.
    • Source sustainable materials and printing processes in line with the Good Business Journey (GBJ) strategy.
    • Plan and forecast the distribution of print and hardware manufacturing requirements in accordance with VM annual planning, to prevent tailbacks and manage risks.
    • Manage and track production projects across all portfolios ensuring production team adherence to critical path.
    • Source new suppliers to ensure newness and innovation.
    • Consult with print suppliers to ensure prompt deliveries and drive process.
    • Source and audit new suppliers that adhere to good governance.
    • Source competitive quotes from new and existing WPPC (Woolworths Print Procurement Council) supplier base to ensure effective budget management.
    • Manage brand identity by ensuring high quality standards are maintained and all brand values adhered to in the production of visual decor.
    • Regular supplier reviews in line WPPC guidelines, alerting all parties of non-compliance and or any delays.
    • Conduct weekly production planning schedules with VM Production, Creative and Design teams to ensure efficient execution of launches.
    • Assisting stores with décor related queries and implementation.
    • Effective budget management to ensure alignment to business strategy by ensuring projects are done within budget
    • Report on cost savings and rebate targets.
    • Determine and investigate future supply sources in line with business BEE measures.
    • Order processing on Oracle.
    • Conduct performance and development discussions (IPM) with the Visual Production team.
