Delivery Assistant x5 at PepsiCo

Overview

• To supports the delivery driver in ensuring products are delivered safely, accurately, and on time to customers.

Responsibilities

• Off-load goods from delivery trucks to customers.
• Carry product crates to customer premises and return empty crates to the truck.
• Pack products onto customer shelves or into receiving areas.
• Count stock during deliveries to ensure the correct quantities are delivered.
• Assist the driver with vehicle manoeuvring, especially when reversing.
• Help load and unload products at depots and customer locations.
• Follow safety procedures and report incidents or accidents promptly.
• Assist with delivery documentation and Proof of Delivery (POD) control    
• Assisting the driver salesman in daily duties•    Ensuring timeous delivery of goods to the customer.
• Good understanding of customer service•    Good Crate Control
• Must be sure product is properly secured prior to delivery.
• Assist in ensuring all operational policies and procedures are adhered to appropriately and professionally greets customers.

Qualifications

• Matric (Grade 12) is generally required.
• A valid driver's licence (often Code 10 with PDP) may be required or considered advantageous.
• Previous sales exp
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to lift and move heavy products.
• Attention to detail and accuracy when counting stock.    Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of safe working practices and distribution processes.
