    Deputy Director (post level 6)

    Duties and responsibilities:

    • Manage the Institutional Change Office to deliver high quality interventions to advance institutional change across all campuses of the UFS.
    • Develop and manage relevant institutional research related to the functions of the Institutional Change Office.
    • Manage the daily operations of the Institutional Change Office as agreed with the Director of the Unit for Institutional Change and Social Justice.
    • Advise the Director of the Unit for Institutional Change and Social Justice regarding the effective functioning of the Institutional Change Office.

    Inherent requirements:

    • A Master’s degree on NQF level 9 in a relevant discipline.
    • A minimum of five (5) years relevant working experience related to the duties and responsibilities, of which two (2) years should be in a managerial capacity.
    • Relevant experience managing programs related to institutional change.

    Recommendations:

    • A record of relevant scholarly publications.
    • Knowledge of university systems, policies, procedures

    • The ability to be cooperative with others, display a good-natured attitude and encourage people to work together.

    Building coalitions 

    • The ability to be self-assured and at ease with people in all types of social situations.
    • The ability to interact with others and establish personal connections with people.
