Applicants should be in possession of an appropriate National Diploma (NQF Level 6) or a Bachelor’s Degree (NQF Level 7) as recognised by SAQA in Computer Science or Information Technology or an equivalent qualification, specializing in System Development.
Four (4) years’ relevant experience of which two (2) years should be on salary level nine (9) or ten (10) in system development according to the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
DUTIES :
Develop and maintain web-based systems. Manage all system acquisition, maintenance and support (in-house and outsourced systems) within the department. Develop BI dashboards and reports for various systems. Conduct user training and system documentation.
Evaluate, investigate and apply innovative technologies to enhance Information Management Systems within GCIS.
Perform system administration functions, administer and co-ordinate the user acceptance testing, and functional system testing with main users and business owners of the system, and promote the utilisation of technology as a key enabler for service delivery and transformation.
