    Design Specialist

    About this job

    As Design Specialist you will be tasked with driving the creative vision and evolution of JUMO’s brand, working closely with the Head of Content and Communications and the rest of the Corporate Affairs team. In our current phase of expansion, we’re laser focused on brand development and team collaboration to support JUMO’s growth goals. We’re looking for someone who can roll up their sleeves and get stuff done, while still keeping overall strategy in mind. You will be based in Cape Town, South Africa and report to the Head of Content and Communications.

    You will 

    • Ensure the JUMO visual identity remains consistent and in line with our brand guidelines across all company initiatives and communications.  
    • Actively take part in evolving and rolling out JUMO's brand identity where required, in line with the overall company communications strategy, ethos and goals. This includes the branding of financial products available on our platform in various markets. 
    • Conceptualise and create the associated visual brand elements for all channels, including multiple digital, social and physical touch points.
    • Develop presentation visuals, reports and slides to support senior leaders and executives in the company.
    • Develop and maintain JUMO’s design system and brand guidelines. 
    • Establish and build key relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
    • Champion the brand internally by making sure all JUMOnauts understand the brand, associated goals and adherence to brand guidelines.
    • Manage creative projects and suppliers, such as photographers and videographers.
    • Determine, design and oversee brand merchandise and associated design budgets.

    You will need

    • 5 years’ experience in brand communications design, including visuals for social media
    • Proficient in Google Suite (specifically,  Google Slides), Adobe Creative Suite (specifically InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) and updating WordPress websites.
    • Ability to work in a high performance environment and to tight deadlines.
    • Ability to context switch, prioritise & self manage.
    • Strategic and creative thinking capabilities.
    • Strong problem solving skills and ability to work as a team.
    • To passionately embrace our brand and continuously generate innovative ideas.
