    Development Manager

    Position: Development Manager

    • A leading software company in Brooklyn is seeking a Development Manager, a role pivotal in driving technical excellence and team performance. This position offers an exciting opportunity to lead a dynamic development team to ensure high-quality project outcomes and innovative solutions.

    Requirements

    Qualification

    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

    Experience

    • At least 5 years of experience in software development.

    Key Responsibilities
    Project Management

    • Plan and organize development schedules.
    • Allocate tasks and coordinate resources to meet deadlines.
    • Collaborate with project managers and product owners to prioritize and manage timelines.

    Team Leadership

    • Mentor and guide developers, supporting their career growth and conducting performance reviews.
    • Foster a positive and productive team culture, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.

    Technical Oversight

    • Review code, enforce coding standards, and maintain technical consistency.
    • Provide expertise on complex technical issues and architectural decisions.

    Stakeholder Communication

    • Act as a bridge between technical teams and other departments, ensuring alignment of development goals with business objectives.

    Recruitment and Team Building

    • Participate in the recruitment process and onboarding of new developers.
    • Enhance team capabilities through training and mentorship programs.

    Resource Allocation and Budget Management

    • Manage team budgets and allocate resources effectively, including software tools and cloud services.

    Problem-Solving and Conflict Resolution

    • Address project challenges or team dynamics to maintain smooth operations.

    Technical Expectations

    • Backend Development:
    • Proficiency in C#/.NET application development.
    • Experience with Azure cloud services and DevOps practices.
    • Strong understanding of software architecture, design principles, and automated testing frameworks.

    Frontend Development:

    • Expertise in Angular, TypeScript, HTML5, and SCSS.
    • Familiarity with Single Page Applications (SPAs) and reusable web components.

    Stack Alignment

    • Must align with the company's current technology stack.
    • Proficiency with tools like Visual Studio, Git, JIRA, and Confluence is essential.

    Time Allocation

    • 60% of the role will focus on client-billable projects, primarily for Swiss clients.
    • 40% will focus on internal projects, including team skill upgrades and process improvements.

    Compensation

    • Market-related salary, depending on experience.
