An exciting client of ours based in Pretoria is currenlty looking for an experienced intermediate - senior DevOps Engineer to Manage the methods of deployment (development, testing and production) and the processes and tools required to execute those deployments. Manage the continuous integration systems used to build software products. Manage the software development tools used by the development team and ensure they are scalable and failure proof.

Minimum Qualifications

• Matric Qualification.
• Tertiary Qualification (National Diploma / Degree in Computer Science or equivelant) 
• 3 Years Proven working expereince as a Software Engineer / DevOps.
• Minimum of 2 years working in a devops/infrastructure engineer role.
• Maven is essential.
• Chef (or similar)

Additional Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years (web)development experience encompassing the technologies listed above.
• Minimum of 3 years system administrative experience. 
• Minimum of 5 years working experience with Linux or similar (as administrator). 
• Minimum of 2 years working in a devops/infrastructure engineer role.
• Build Automation and Continuous Integration (CI) tools, such as BuildForge, Jenkins, Hudson or Bamboo.
• Open Source build tools, such as Sonar, Emma, PMD, Clover and Checkstyle.
• Deployment and scripting tools, such as Cargo, Thoughtworks Go, Jython scripting for IBM WebSphere or WLST for Oracle WebLogic

Additional Requirements:

• Demonstrated ability to problem solve, identify alternative solutions and communicate best practices.
• Well-spoken with excellent interpersonal communication skills.
• Clear credit and criminal record.
• Have a positive and self-motivated attitude.
• Self-starter who is able to work with little supervision.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet agreed deadlines.
