Digital Marketing Manager
We are looking for a marketing manager with a focus on demand generation to help generate leads for our B2B fintech company. You will lead, plan and execute digital marketing campaigns and initiatives to engage prospective and existing customers through online channels.
The role
This position encompasses the core of digital marketing: SEO, SEM, social media, PPC, email, the website, blog posts, content, video, and native advertising. In this role, you will oversee the planning and execution of these core elements, including the occasional use of agencies for support. You will also be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with key agencies and outsourced consultants. Delivering qualified leads by developing and managing the digital marketing strategy will be one of your main outputs, and there is an emphasis on ROI analysis to identify optimization opportunities and achieve performance goals.
You will report to the SVP of marketing, and work closely with sales, product and third-party agencies to drive lead generation for customer acquisition.
Responsibilities
General:
- Implement lead generation and nurturing initiatives using digital channels
- Evaluate and improve the lead journey and lead capture on our website
- Monitor digital marketing trends on content marketing, email marketing, trending hashtags, and topics on social media
- Conceptualize campaigns for the MEA region, and support all other regions where necessary
- Engage with the sales operations manager
Campaigns:
- Work with the in-house communications team and regional marketers to create campaigns based on regional requirements, business requirements, competitor activities, and upcoming events
- Inform SMART goals for campaigns based on past reports
- Manage the marketing calendar and oversee the roll-out of campaigns
- Outline social media and email campaigns
- Implement UTM tracking codes and QR codes
- Implement A/B testing where possible
- Report on campaign performance
Digital content:
- Oversee the creation of infographics and other content requirements such as ebooks and presentations
- Look for opportunities to further market existing content through social media graphics, Google Display ads, and other digital channels
- Assist in developing content for lead generation initiatives
PPC campaigns:
- Compile and schedule LinkedIn PPC campaigns
- Create and review Google Ads and LinkedIn campaigns (keyword research, competitor research, create ads, monitor and adjust, and optimize landing pages)
Monthly reporting:
- Use Google DataStudio to create custom dashboards
- Monitor and report on website performance and traffic (Google Analytics, Search Console and Ads Data), social media reports (HubSpot data), search engine results (SEO), campaigns (HubSpot and Google Analytics), and content performance
- Use HubSpot Leads report to monitor leads captured through various channels
- Use reports to better inform our digital marketing efforts and SMART goals
Social media:
- Review all social media posts and optimize them for engagement
- Optimize YouTube as an added website traffic source and improved SEO
- Monitor and engage with influencers on Twitter
Quarterly competitor research and analysis:
- Content
- SERPs
- Websites
- Social media channels
Skills & experience
Successful candidates for this role will generally possess the following qualifications and skills:
- A degree in business, marketing, communications, or related field
- A pro-active, driven, and positive attitude with 3+ years’ experience in a similar role
- A working knowledge of theoretical marketing concepts and how to apply them
- A strong working knowledge of marketing tools including email campaigns, social media management, and analytics
- Experience at a high-growth B2B software or fintech company is preferable
- Experience with HubSpot or a similar marketing automation solution is essential
- Experience using web analytics tools such as Google Analytics, HubSpot, Data Studio, and Klipfolio to analyze conversion funnels
- Hands-on experience with Google Analytics, Google Ads, and LinkedIn is essential
- The ability to effectively implement both strategic and tactical responsibilities
- Strong numerical and analytical skills to measure activity and drive performance
- Experience in customer acquisition/funnel marketing, channel communication (email/CRM), marketing technology, websites, and analytics will be key
